I'm Michael, originally from Bushey in leafy Hertfordshire. After finishing high school, I gained my degree in hotel management and hospitality and went straight to work at the world famous Le Manoir aux Quat Saisons with chef patron Raymond Blanc as part of the front of house team. Whilst it was fantastic working at a two-star Michelin restaurant in the Oxfordshire countryside, I missed being close to the London scene and ventured to the capital to work at HIDE, where I spent three and a half years and progressed into the management team.

I wanted to focus more on wine and spirits and decided that having the best wine and spirits retailer in the world as part of the same company was an opportunity I couldn’t miss out on, so I made the switch to work as part of the sales team at Hedonism Wines to commit more time to my passion and am loving it! 

In terms of my personal preferences, I love the reds and whites Rhône Valley and have a long-standing love affair with the wines of the USA - I also have a bit of a weakness for Mezcal.

Outside of work, I enjoy going to restaurants, imbibing fine wine and spirits (of course), spending time with friends and family and venturing into the countryside that lies just outside the capital.
