Produced from a selection of Sangiovese grapes from a single vineyard, fermented in Slavonian oak casks and aged for 24 months in wood, 4 months in steel, 18 months in bottle before release. The 2016 vintage was reviewed by Wine Spectator as follows, `This cherry- and raspberry-flavored red is underlined by a saline note, with floral, eucalyptus, thyme and tobacco notes joining the party as everything plays out on the lingering, tightly wound finish. Shows energy and finds balance in the end. Best from 2026 through 2043.`
