Currently owned by the French holding company Groupe Artémis, Clos de Tart was originally founded by the Cistercian nuns of Tart Abbey in 1141. The 7.53-hectare estate is wholly owned by Domaine Clos de Tart and therefore classified as a ‘monopole’. The 1997 vintage has a complex nose displaying rose petals, strawberries, spices and earthy notes. On the palate this is a wine of silky texture, refined structure and lushness of fruit.
