CVNE Imperial Gran Reserva 2010

CVNE Imperial Gran Reserva 2010 is a full-bodied red wine from the Rioja region of Spain. Produced only in exceptional vintages from CVNE`s best Rioja Alta vineyards, this Gran Reserva is the pinnacle of the winery`s output. Rigorous hand-sorting of grapes is followed by fermentation in oak vats. The wine is then aged for a minimum of 24 months in new French and American oak barrels, with racking every eight months, with a further 36 months of bottle ageing in CVNE`s 100-year-old cellars before release. "Lots of plum, chocolate and rose aromas. Liquorice and cloves too. Very subtle yet rich. Full-bodied, very fine and balanced. Lovely firm and silky mouthfeel.
