The Glenallachie Distillery is located in the Speyside, near the town of Aberlour. It was founded in 1967 by Mackinlay McPherson Ltd., a subsidiary of Scottish & Newcastle Breweries. The distillery`s name, ‘Glenallachie’ is derived from the Gaelic ‘Gleann Aileachaidh’, which means ‘Valley of the Rocks’. This10-year-old expression is part of the Batch 3 Virgin oak series, released in March 2023 and aged in American oak barrels – followed by an 18-month rest in virgin Spanish oak casks – bringing out subtle flavour nuances between different oak species.
