Maison Leroy is one strand of the Leroy group, which also includes Domaine Leroy and Domaine d’Auvenay. The négociant business which is based in Auxey-Duresses was originally founded in 1868 by François Leroy, winemaker and owner of vines in prime sites such as Pommard, Chambertin, Musigny, Clos Vougeot and Richebourg. Today the maison is owned and run by the legendary Lalou Bize-Leroy, the great-granddaughter of the founder. The 2000 Meursault is a crisp and elegant Chardonnay, combining notes of yellow fruit, earth and a steely minerality.
