Papagiannakos Erythros 2021

Domaine Papagiannakos Erythros 2021 is a full-bodied, blended red wine from the Attica region of Greece. Domaine Papagiannakos was established in 1919 in the heart of the plain of Mesogaia, Attica - just 30km from the shadow of the Acropolis. Erthyros is a blend of 70% Agiorgitiko and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon from old vines cultivated on clay soils in gently sloping vineyards at around 300m altitude. It was matured for six months in French oak barrels. Producer note. "Ripe dark fruit aromas with a hint of spice. The wine has rich bramble fruit with notes of blackcurrant pastille, and is finely structured with well-integrated French oak, fine tannins, a light savoury note and a twist of liquorice on the finish."
