`Gaja Sori San Lorenzo is a full-bodied Nebbiolo red wine from the leading producer in the Barbaresco region of Piedmont. Renowned for being the most powerful and structured of Gaja`s three single-vineyard Barbarescos, Sori San Lorenzo is an intense, brooding and exceptionally long-lived Nebbiolo which bears easy comparison with the wines of neighbouring Barolo. 1967 was the first vintage in which this iconic wine was produced. The first vintages of this wine were aged in local oak botti, with winemaker Angelo Gaja only later switching to elevage in French oak barrels.
