Historically, Talisker stood as the only distillery on Scotland`s iconic Isle of Skye, maintaining its reputation for exceptional quality. Rarely changing ownership, it became part of DCL [now Diageo] in 1916. The Distillers Edition series, offering cask-finished variations on the Classic Malts, includes the earliest release from the Isle of Skye. This double-matured expression was finished in Jerez Amoroso cask wood, with distillation taking place in 1986 and bottling completed in 1999.
