Listrac-Medoc

This red wine appellation is one of the six communal appellations in the Haut-Médoc, and its vineyards are situated away from the influence of the Gironde estuary. Key grape varieties are Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon blended with small percentages of Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc and Carmenère. Explore the historic estates of Listrac-Medoc, including the likes of late Baron Edmond de Rothschild’s Château Clarke, or the wines of Château Fourcas Hosten and Château Fonréaud. Many of these estates also produced beautiful whites from Sauvignon Blanc, Sémillon and Sauvignon Gris, but these are bottled as AOC Bordeaux Blanc.
