Giacomo Conterno Barolo Cascina Francia 1969 is a fully mature single-vineyard Nebbiolo red wine from the Barolo appellation of Piedmont, northern Italy. The Barolos of Giacomo Conterno are renowned for their extraordinary combination of power, subtlety and longevity, and to many represent the apogee of Italian fine wines. Giacomo Conterno produced Barolo Monfortino for the first time in 1934. It was the first Barolo wine to be made in what is now considered the `classic` style. To many aficionados, it is the ultimate expression of Nebbiolo. Cascina Francia is one of the most sought-after Barolos in the Conterno range, whose ample charms are particularly evident after long bottle maturation.
