Beykush is an award-winning winery situated directly on the shores of the Black Sea on the southern coast of Ukraine. `Kara Kamen` is their special red blend of Saperavi and Tempranillo, crafted using the ‘appassimento’ method. This imparts a delightful combination of tartness, sweetness, and a rich colour to the wine. The name is inspired by the ancient structure, Kara Kermen – meaning Black Fortress – which once stood in the vicinity of the modern city Ochakiv, near the Beykush winery.
