Billecart Salmon Cuvee Elisabeth Salmon Magnum 2012

Billecart Salmon Cuvée Elisabeth Salmon 2012 is a vintage, prestige-cuvée, rosé Champagne produced by Maison Billecart-Salmon in Epernay, France. Founded in 1818 with the marriage of Nicolas François Billecart to Elisabeth Salmon, Billecart-Salmon is one of the few Champagne houses to remain family-owned, now in its seventh generation. The house`s prestige cuvée rosé was first created in 1988 in honour of Elizabeth Salmon. A blend of 55% Chardonnay and 45% Pinot Noir, including 10% of Pinot Noir red wine, the wine was matured on lees for 10 years before disgorgement. It has refreshing aromas of citrus peel and red berry jelly. On the palate, the wine carries flavours of tangerine, blood orange and apple tart. It has a full-bodied mouthfeel, with a chalky edge and a lingering finish. Here the wine is presented in celebratory magnum format.
