La Poderina Poggio Banale Brunello di Montalcino 1985 is a mature-vintage Sangiovese red wine from the Montalcino hills of Tuscany. Poggio Banale is a selection of La Poderina finest plots of Sangiovese grapes. Founded in 1988, La Poderina is located in the Castelnuovo dell`Abate zone of Montalcino – one of the most prized zones in the appellation. La Poderina matures its Brunellos in a combination of French barriques and larger oak botti, which results in wines with restrained oak character that still showcase the terroir characteristics of Sangiovese from this appellation.
