Biondi-Santi is the definitive producer of Brunello di Montalcino and has remained steadfastly traditional – in terms of both its iconic label and wine style – while other Brunello producers have been carried away by passing fashions. Now in its seventh generation of winemakers, the Biondi-Santi family continues to create Sangiovese wines renowned for their elegance and longevity. Biondi-Santi Brunello di Montalcino is traditionally fermented with indigenous yeasts in cement vats, with ageing in traditional large Slavonian oak casks. The flagship Riserva is sourced from the estate’s oldest vines and often shows the wilder, more powerful side of Sangiovese.
