Founded in the 19th century, Tenuta Il Poggione is a historic estate in Montalcino, particularly known for its rich and dense Brunello wines. The estate covers an impressive area of 530 hectares, with 140 hectares planted to vines. This particular release is made only in exceptional years from fruit sourced exclusively from the ‘I Paganelli’ vineyard, planted in 1964. Expect red and dark fruits, violets, orange peel, vanilla notes and a touch of smoke.
