Domaine Trapet is one of the great historic estates of the Côte de Nuits. The estate comprises approximately 16 hectares of vineyards, led by a 1.9-hectare parcel in Le Chambertin, where this release comes from. The 1996 vintage in Burgundy is generally considered to be an excellent year, particularly for red wines. It was marked by favourable weather conditions that allowed for the production of wines with good structure, concentration, and ageing potential.
