Chateauneuf du Pape Cristia 2005

Domaine de Cristia Châteauneuf-du-Pape 2005 is a mature blended white wine from the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation of the southern Rhône Valley. Established since 1942 in Courthézon in the heart of the southern Rhône Valley, Domaine de Cristia takes its from a vineyard site which adjoins the illustrious lieu-dit of Rayas. 2005 was one of the outstanding vintages of the past two decades in the region. "The 2005 Chateauneuf du Pape possesses a dark ruby/purple colour in addition to a classic Provencal nose of roasted herbs, ground pepper, lavender, balsam wood, and kirsch. This thick, juicy, full-bodied Chateauneuf reveals sweet tannin as well as tangy acidity. It can be drunk now or cellared for 10-12+ years." Robert Parker
