Prats and Symington Chryseia 2019 is a medium-bodied dry red wine from the Douro Valley. One of the modern breed of fine reds from this Pot-producing region of Northern Portugal, it is a concentrated, barrel-aged wine blended from old-vine Touriga Nacional and Touriga Franca. Chryseia is a collaboration, established in 1999, between the Symington Port family and the Prats family from Bordeaux. Matured for 14 months in fine French oak barrels, the wine offers dense, spiced dark fruits and a strong Douro personality, with a trail of freshness and schistous minerality and fine, elegant tannins.
