Clarendon Hills was established in 1990 by Roman Bratasiuk in South Australia`s McLaren Vale. Its wine portfolio features varietal expressions, including Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Grenache, and Mourvèdre. Situated in Blewitt Springs, the Sandown Cabernet Sauvignon vineyard was originally planted in the 1930s. This site is home to a rare pre-phylloxera Chateau Reynella Cabernet Sauvignon clone, which beautifully embodies the old terroir of Blewitt Springs with a sense of opulence and grandeur. These mature vines face west, offering low yields but delivering a Cabernet Sauvignon that is both powerful and elegantly composed. Expect notes of black currant, graphite, slate, earl grey tea, sage, and bay leaf.
