Founded by textile merchant Michel Bouchard in 1731, Bouchard Père et Fils is one of Burgundy’s oldest wine estates. Since 1995 the well-established Maison has been owned by the Henriot family, whose portfolio also includes William Fèvre, Beaux Frères and Champagne Henriot. This particular cuvée comes from the grand cru Corton-Charlemagne, where Bouchard owns a 3.65-hectare plot. 2002 is deservedly a popular vintage among Burgundy aficionados, and the remaining available wines are in a great spot right now.
