Domaine de la Romanée-Conti – or simply DRC – is undoubtedly the most prestigious wine producer in Burgundy. The iconic estate is co-owned by the de Villaine and Leroy families, with Alexandre Bernier in place as cellar master following the retirement of Bernard Noblet in 2018. The Corton Grand Cru is a recent addition to the Romanée-Conti’s portfolio, produced from a 2.28-hectare vineyard leased to DRC by Prince Florent de Merode since November 2008. The 2019 vintage exhibits a lovely aroma profile, including raspberries, red cherries and fine spices. On the palate, the wine is fresh and juicy, punctuated by notes of spicy oak, red berries and minerals.
