Maison Louis Jadot is one of the most consistent growers and négociants in Burgundy, with a vast portfolio of wines – from easy-drinking, accessible Bourgogne to complex, age-worthy Grand Crus. This particular release comes from the Grand Cru vineyard of Les Pougets, where Jadot owns a superb, southerly-exposed parcel of approximately 1.5 hectares purchased back in 1914. This release from the 2002 vintage is now a fully mature expression, featuring rhubarb, dried wild berries, peonies, oak spices and a faint layer of smoke.
