Devaux D Millesime 2012

The `D Collection` wines represent the pinnacle of Devaux`s range. The grapes are sourced from meticulously chosen; sustainably cultivated vineyard plots spread across 50 hectares. Most of these vineyards are located in the Aube region, characterized by Kimmeridgian limestone-clay soils. The 2012 vintage posed complexity in the vineyard but ultimately yielded high-quality grapes. Following the addition of liqueur de tirage, the base wine underwent a gradual second fermentation within the bottle, followed by an extensive maturation period on its lees spanning a decade. This long process resulted in a wine boasting a finer, more persistent effervescence and heightened complexity. The 2012 vintage was disgorged in July 2022, with a dosage of 6 g/l, and underwent an additional nine months of bottle ageing before its release.
