Founded in 1892, Emishiki is a sake brewery based in Shiga Prefecture, east of Kyoto. Led by Atsunori Takeshima, Emishiki is one of a number of producers looking to appeal to the European and American markets with expressions such as Sensation Black. Fruity on the palate, expect notes of crisp green apples and ripe stone fruits with floral undertones and a dry, mineral finish.
