Tenuta delle Terre Nere Etna Rosso Guardiola 2021 is a full-bodied single-site red wine from Mount Etna, Sicily. This 100% Nerello Mascalese comes from Terre Nere`s vineyard holding in the contrada of Guardiola, which is the highest-elevation vineyard Terre Nere owns, at 900-1,000m. The soils here are poor with a high proportion of gravel and volcanic sand. The wines from this area in turn tend to be austere in youth but with firm structure and pronounced minerality. "This has a dusty nose showcasing notes of vivid red cherries, candied orange peel and pomegranate skins with crushed terra-cotta brick and dried flowers. Textured and polished with dusty tannins that are evenly distributed across the palate and provide a mineral, granite-like presence on the palate, with attractive red fruit underneath.
