Fabre Gasparets 2019

Château Fabre Gasparets 2019 is a full-bodied red wine from the Corbières-Boutenac region of the Languedoc in south-west France. Château Fabre Gasparets is the historic birthplace of the Fabre family and offers exceptional soil for growing Mediterranean grape varieties. For the Fabre Gasparets 2019, Syrah and Mourvèdre grapes are destemmed while Carignan is left as whole bunches for the duration of fermentation. After blending, the wine spends 12 months in a combination of French oak barrels and concrete eggs. This is a plush, polished and modern style of southern French red exuding creamy red and black berry fruits, cedar, wild herbs and spices. For all its initial richness and power, it is wonderfully balanced, silky and surprisingly elegant, and concludes with a long, lingering finish.
