Franz Haas Pinot Nero 2021

Franz Haas Pinot Nero 2021 is a medium-bodied Pinot Noir red wine produced by Franz Haas Winery in the Alto Adige region of northern Italy. The winery was founded in 1880 and has been passed down through seven generations to the current owner-winemaker, Franz Haas. Haas`s low-yielding Pinot Noir vines are planted at 350-900m above sea level on heterogeneous soils. The Pinot Nero 2021 is matured for 12 months in barrique followed by a further few months in bottle before release. Producer note. "The bouquet opens with notes of maraschino cherries and raspberries, marzipan and plum jam, cloves and cinnamon. In the end, aromas of underwood are perceived. On the palate, the wine is fresh and lively thanks to the elegant tannins that make it aromatic and round and ensure an inviting and tasty flavour."
