Henschke Keyneton Euphonium 2018 is a full-bodied Shiraz-based red blend produced from vines growing in the Eden and Barossa valleys of South Australia. Henschke`s Keyneton Euphonium cuvée is named in reference to a euphonium – now a Henschkle family heirloom – that was played by the Henschke Family Brass Band in the village of Keyneton during the early days of German settlement in the Barossa region. The wine is a blend of Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc, each of which was vinified separately. Each component was matured in a combination of American and French oak casks, about a quarter of which were new, for 18 months before assemblage. The wine remained in bottle for two years before release.
