Part of Gordon & MacPhail`s Private Collection series, this Highland Park release was distilled in December 1984, having matured for 37 years in a single refill American hogshead before its bottling in December 2021. The outcome is a delightfully sweet and fruity whisky with aromas featuring fresh apple, lemon juice, and fresh orange peel. On the palate, the citrus notes persist, complemented by hints of mango and papaya. The spicy and smoky finish brings back subtle traces of apple.
