Krug is one the most iconic champagne houses and gets credit for being one of the early creators of the now standard multi-vintage expressions. The house was founded in 1843 by German-born Joseph Krug, who gained experience at Jacquesson Champagne before starting his own venture. Krug Vintage 1988 is a blend of composed of 46% Chardonnay, 35% Pinot Noir and 19% Pinot Meunier. The wine offers astonishing purity, precision and a very long finish.
