Kuhling Gillot Nierstein Riesling Trocken Magnum 2017

Located in the northern part of Rheinhessen, amidst the red-slate heartland between Nackenheim and Oppenheim, Kuhling-Gillot`s vineyards boast a history spanning over 200 years. Following hand-harvesting, grapes undergo skin contact for eight hours to three days, depending on the vintage, and then spontaneous fermentation occurs. Dry wines are vinified in 1,200-liter wooden barrels, ensuring minimal oxidation through constant topping up. All wines rest on fine lees until bottling. This organic village-level Riesling is a blend from the red-slate vineyards of Pettenthal, Hipping, and Olberg.
