Banfi La Lus Albarossa 2019 is a full-bodied red wine produced from Albarossa grapes in the Piedmont region of northern Italy. Albarossa is a crossing of Nebbiolo and Barbera grape varieties. It was created in Veneto in 1938 but received very little attention until recently. In 2001, Albarossa became a permitted grape variety in Monferrato Rosso DOC wines. From the historic Banfi estate, La Lus Albarossa is a soft, silky textured red wine with Nebbiolo-like aromas of rose petals and red cherries, together with the vibrant fruit notes of Barbera and hints of oak spice.
