Les Cretes Sommet Nebbiolo 2019

Les Cretes Sommet Nebbiolo 2019 is a medium-bodied red wine produced from a local clone of the Piedmontese grape variety Nebbiolo in the Valle d`Aosta. Until recently unknown outside Italy, the family winery of Les Crêtes is located in the picturesque Alpine town of Aymavilles with the cellar just a mile away from the Monte Bianco tunnel. The vineyards of Les Crêtes grow at mountain elevations of up to 1,000m of soils of sand and rocky limestone. Aged for 12 months in 300l French oak barrels, Sommet offers ripe notes of raspberry, red cherry and blackberry with floral notes and subtle liquorice spice. Soft and velvety in texture, this wine would pair extremely well with venison or pink-cooked lamb.
