The Massandra Winery was founded in 1894 by Tsar Nicholas II on the outskirts of Yalta, on the Crimean Peninsula, and was the official supplier of fine wines to the royal family whilst they were on vacation at their summer palace in Livadia. This wine was produced from the White Muscat grape variety, grown in the sunlit vineyards around Red Stone Rock, above the resort of Gurzuf. Offering up a bouquet of tea roses, honey and orange peel, followed by an elegant and citrus-driven palate.
