The 2020 Masseto is a blend of 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc. On the nose, expect scents of plum preserves, blueberry compote, and chocolate-dipped cherries. These notes are followed by hints of star anise, lilacs, mocha, and tar. On the palate, the wine presents itself as full-bodied and remarkably concentrated, offering a multitude of layers filled with black fruit preserves and savoury undertones. This complex structure is elegantly framed by fully ripened, velvety tannins and well-integrated acidity, leading to a very extended and opulent finish.
