The classic Mauro reflects the characteristics of a cooler vintage, showcasing freshness and equilibrium. With a robust and ripe profile, it boasts 14.5% alcohol and a medium to full-bodied palate that unveils a succulent and velvety wine, displaying excellent balance and drinkability. Crafted primarily from Tinto Fino [aka Tempranillo] with an additional 15% blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah, the wine underwent fermentation in stainless-steel tanks with indigenous yeasts and was matured in barrels and foudres of varying ages for 15 months. Mauro 2020 is highly approachable now, offering impressive balance, substance, and the potential for ageing in the bottle.
