Domaine d`Auvenay is a small but highly regarded estate based in Saint-Romain. It is owned by one of the most influential women in the French wine industry, Lalou Bize-Leroy, who also manages Maison Leroy and Domaine Leroy. This release is from Mazis-Chambertin, the northernmost grand cru in the Côte de Nuits. The vineyard stretches over 9.1 hectares of land and is planted entirely to Pinot Noir. The wines are typically rich, very well structured and age-worthy.
