This single malt was distilled at Mortlach in 1997 and bottled in 2009 as part of the ‘Managers` Choice’ series, which was a range of single cask, cask strength bottlings selected by distillery managers and offered exclusively to members of the ‘Friends of the Classic Malts’. Expect a rich and meaty aroma profile with notes of dried fruit, oak and a hint of smoke. On the palate, flavours of dark chocolate, coffee and spice, against a meaty, savoury character that is a signature of Mortlach whiskies.
