No 3 Pinot Noir Schlossgut Bachtobel 2021

Schlossgut Bachtobel No 3 Pinot Noir 2021 is a medium-bodied red wine produced from Pinot Noir grapes in the Thurgau region of Switzerland. Bachtobel is one of the leading producers of Pinot Noir in Switzerland. It`s No 3 cuvée undrgoes a period of pre-ferment maceration at low temperatures in order to increase the complexity of flavour in the final wine. Producer note. "This wine is matured for 15 months in 228 litre Burgundy pièces (barrels). One third of the wine is ripened in new barrels. This means that, in addition to the dark forest fruits of the No. 2 wine, here there are also traces of spices, cloves and cocoa supplementing the fruity flavours. The woody bouquet of this Pinot Noir is somewhat more marked than that of the No. 2. To preserve these aromas, the No. 3 is also only gently filtered."
