Founded in 1810, Château Pédesclaux is a Fifth Growth wine estate situated within the Pauillac appellation. Encompassing about 48 hectares, the vineyards predominantly feature Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, alongside Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc. The 1966 vintage is widely regarded as highly favourable, if not excellent, on a global scale. France, in particular, experienced a standout vintage, with both Bordeaux and Burgundy showcasing the characteristics of a classic year.
