Penfolds Bin 60A 1962 is a fully mature red wine produced from Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz grapes at Penfolds` Magill Estate near Adelaide, South Australia. In operation since 1844, Penfolds is the leading wine brand in Australia and is celebrated for its Grange Shiraz blend – the pinnacle of a large portfolio of category-leading wines. The winery team is led by the highly respected winemaker Peter Gago. Penfolds Bin 60A 1962 is considered by some to be the finest Australian wine ever made. This wine was made by the late Max Schubert, who created Penfolds` iconic Grange, and is a blend of two-thirds Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon and one-third Barossa Shiraz. The wine was never commercially released and is now among the rarest and most sought-after wines in the world.
