Port Ellen Connoisseurs Choice is a limited-edition Islay single malt whisky produced at the Port Ellen Distillery on the isle of Islay. This exceptionally rare single malt from the, until recently, closed Islay distillery of Port Ellen was distilled in 1982. It spent 24 years maturing in a refill Sherry cask before being bottled in September 2006 as part of Gordon & MacPhail`s Connoisseurs Choice series.
