Sassicaia is the flagship of Tenuta San Guido and an icon of Italian wine. The 2013 vintage was widely regarded as exceptional in Bolgheri and this delivers hugely concentrated waves of wild berry, forest floor and bramble fruit, with subtle seams of tobacco, bay leaf and cinnamon spice. A brilliant vintage to drink now if decanted well in advance of service but this should continue to evolve for at least another two decades.
