The final release in the Epicurean Odyssey series, The Singleton of Glen Ord 40 Year Old is a complex and richly textured whisky that has undergone an extensive maturation process. The combination of rum, bourbon, Pedro Ximénez, and oloroso sherry casks used during four decades of ageing has imparted a startling complexity to the whisky.
The addition of Guatemalan rum casks for the final few months has further contributed to the whisky`s complexity, adding a tropical fruit note that complements existing flavors of dark chocolate and sea salt.
Bottled at cask strength and strictly limited.
