Springbank 10 Year Old Local Barley (2019 Release) 2009

Yet more magic from the folks at Springbank. The third edition of their revived Local Barley series, this 10 year old single malt is produced using Optic barley from the High Cattadale farm. Aged in a combination of Bourbon, Sherry and Port casks, this is a complex, cask strength dram which really let`s the waxy Springbank style shine through. Spicy and honeyed on the nose with vanilla and light peat smoke, the palate is tropical with ripe mango, apricot and mango plus yet more peaty goodness. The finish is buttery with a touch of ocean spray.
