Larry Turley founded Turley Wine Cellars in Napa Valley in 1993, bringing his experience as a founder of Frog`s Leap Winery in Rutherford. Seeking a more intimate production size, Turley aimed to work with unique vineyard sites. While the majority of their wines are designated as single vineyards, Juvenile stands apart, being a blend of younger vines strategically replanted in various prime old vine locations. Turley identifies and separately harvests these younger vines to craft a distinctive wine. Juvenile vines span from approximately 6 to 25 years in age, drawing from select premier vineyards across California.
