Château Smith Haut Lafitte

Château Smith Haut Lafitte can trace a history of winemaking on their property all the way back to the mid-14th century. The Estate has grown in prominence over the centuries & was included in the 1959 Classification of Graves Wine. Smith Haut Lafitte is currently operated by ___ & Hedonism is delighted to welcome him to the shop to host this wonderful tasting.

To this day, the property is considered one of the premier producers in the Graves appellation & make only a relatively small quantity of wine - just 10,000 cases of red & 3,000 cases of white.

Guests will enjoy a vertical tasting of both of Smith Haut Lafitte's Grand Vin wines including Smith Haut Lafitte Rouge 1998, 2010, 2012 & 2014 & Smith Haut Lafitte Blanc 2012 & 2014.

Taittinger Champagne & Kasperskian Caviar

Kasperskian produce some of the world's finest caviar in a wholly sustainable manner. Pioneering new techniques, Kasperskian are able to harvest roe from their captive sturgeons without harm, making them nearly unique in the world of caviar production.

Hedonism is delighted to welcome both Kasperskian & Champagne Taittinger to the store to present a very special tasting. The evening will be hosted by Taittinger's Kevin McKee & Kasperskian's Jules Couten & guests will not only enjoy samples of very fine Caviar, they will be treated to a tutored tasting of 4 different bottlings of Taittinger's Prestige Cuvée, Comtes de Champagne, including Blanc de Blancs & Rosé 2006, Blanc de Blancs 2000 & Rosé 2003.

 This is a truly fantastic event & an exciting collaboration between one of the world's greatest Champagne houses & one of the world's most exciting producers of fine caviar - not to be missed!

Shirakabegura Sake Masterclass & Spanish Tapas Pairing

Kyoto-based Takara have been crafting fine sake for over 170 years. Shirakabegura is their newly established, Hyogo-based brewery which produces various styles of premium-grade sake.

House of Sake's Honami Matsumoto & Shirakabegura's Hiroyuki Ito & Motoki Nagaoka will co-host the evening, presenting a wonderful food & sake matching experience.

Guests will taste 6 different sake, each matched with a different example of Spanish Tapas. Brews to be tasted include Shirakabegura Mio sparkling sake, Kimoto Junmai, Daiginjo Muroka Genshu, Junmai Daiginjo & Yamahai Ginjo Mitani Fujio.

Tickets for this fantastic event are £60, with £10 redeemable against any purchase of sake on the evening of the tasting.

Famille Dupont Calvados

The Dupont family can trace their roots in Normandy back for more than 3 centuries & have been producing Calvados since the early 20th century. They currently farm & harvest over 13 different varieties of apple, each selected for it's unique flavour & aroma, over 75 acres of orchards in the heart of the Pays d'Auge region.

Quality is at the heart of the Dupont family's ethos when it comes to producing their apple brandy & they employ the same techniques used by some of the finest Cognac distillers to achieve a beautifully aromatic, complex & age-worthy spirit.

Guests at the tasting will be guided through a number of bottlings by Estate director Jérôme Dupont including VSOP, Hors d'Age, 17 year old & the 1988 & 1977 vintage bottlings.
