Whisky Club - Four Roses Masterclass

Four Roses has a history stretching back to the mid-late 1800s & established their current distillery site in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky in 1910. Having gradually risen in popularity in the 1930s & 40s, Four Roses was discontinued in the 1950s & only resurrected in the early 2000s to great acclaim.

The current master distiller is Brent Elliott, who we are excited to welcome to the store to host this fabulous tasting. Since he was appointed to the role in 2015, Four Roses have continued to impress & the quality of the whiskey produced as high as ever. Particularly impressive are the distillery's Single Batch Limited Editions, of which three will be poured by Brent at this tasting.

Guests will sample a number of Bourbons including Four Roses Original, Small Batch, Single Barrel & Small Batch Limited Edition 2015, 2016 & the brand new 2017.

The Single Vineyards of Catena Zapata

Catena currently identify six different vineyards across their estate - Adrianna, Domingo, Nicasia, Angelica, Angelica Sur and La Piramide. Each of these vineyards has a different terroir & varietal characteristics are imbued in the grapes grown on these sites.

This tasting showcases wines made from Catena's flagship, high altitude vineyard Adrianna, which is situated nearly 5,000 feet above sea level. Guests will sample 5 different wines from the vineyard, including White Bones Chardonnay 2014, White Stones Chardonnay 2014, Fortuna Terrae Malbec 2013, Mundus Bacillus Terrae Malbec 2013 & River Stones Malbec 2013.

Tickets for this event are £50, with £25 redeemable against any purchase of Bodega Catena Zapata wines on the evening of the tasting.

Catena Zapata Vertical Tasting Showcase

The final event in our series of tasting offers guests the chance to sample rare back vintages from Bodega Catena Zapata with a focus on the estate's two most premium bottlings - Nicolas Catena Zapata Cabernet Sauvignon & Adrianna Vineyard Malbec.

Older vintages of these wines are rarely available to enjoy and this tasting will give attendees the opportunity see the beneficial effects of bottle age on wines of the structure and concentration of those made by Catena.

Guests will sample three vintages of each wine - Nicolas Catena Zapata 2001, 2004  and 2006 and Adrianna Vineyard Malbec 2004, 2006 and 2007.

Tickets for this event are £60, with £30 redeemable against any purchase of Bodega Catena Zapata wines on the evening of the tasting.
