Hosted by Jean Trimbach
Surely one of the world's oldest wineries still in production, Trimbach was founded in 1626 by Jean Trimbach in Riquewihr, just south of Ribeauvillé & is still owned & operated by the founding family. While the team make wines using all of the traditional Alsatian varieties, they are particularly known for the superb quality of their Rieslings including the iconic Clos St Hune, which is made using old vine fruit from a tiny 1.67 hectare parcel which the family have owned for over 200 years.
We are excited to welcome Jean Trimbach to the store to host the event. Jean is part of the 12th generation to take the helm at Trimbach & will provide an unparalleled insight into the workings of one of the France's most iconic wineries.
Jean will be pouring eight different Rieslings from the family cellar including Sélection De Vieilles Vignes 2015, Cuvée M 2015, Grand Cru Schlossberg 2015, Clos St Hune 2013 & 2005 & Cuvée Frédéric Emile 2011, 2008 & 2001.
Tickets for this tasting are £50 fully redeemable against any purchase of Trimbach wines on the evening of the tasting.

Hosted by James Chase
The story of Chase distillery starts nearly 15 years ago when potato farmer & founder Will Chase was searching for ways to diversify his family farming business. Following an inspirational trip to the USA tasting a number of fine, boutique potato vodkas, Will resolved to bring the idea back to the UK & make it a reality.
After four years of distillery designing & recipe research, the first bottle of Chase vodka rolled off the production line in 2008 & won "Best Vodka" at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition. Chase have since branched out into liqueurs & gin, winning awards across the board for their innovative approach.
We are delighted to welcome James Chase to the store to hold this tasting. James will talk about the trials & tribulations of running one of the UKs most celebrated vodka distilleries & present six different spirits for tasting including Chase Vodka, GB Gin, Williams Elegant 48 Gin, Pink Grapefruit Gin, Marmalade Vodka & Sloe & Mulberry Gin.

Old Pulteney & Oysters
Tuesday, 9th April 2019, 6.30 - 8.30pm
Hosted by Malcom Waring
Perched on Scotland's rocky & rugged northern shores, Old Pulteney is a maritime malt in the truest sense. A fragrant dram made using very lightly peated malt, the new make spirit is aged in a combination of ex-Bourbon & ex-Sherry barrels in their warehouse on the North Sea coast. Production at the distillery is still very labour intensive, with malt crushed in tiny 25kg batches & every bottle filled by hand.
Scottish whisky is a natural companion to the clean, oceanic flavour of fresh oysters & this is particularly true of coastal malts such as Old Pulteney. We look forward to welcoming you to the store to enjoy what is surely one of the world's essential gastronomic delights - sláinte!
Old Pulteney's distillery manager Malcom Waring will guide guests through a tasting of four different whiskies while the good folks at Mother Shuckers will lead the oyster shucking workshop. This is set to be a fun, informal evening of delicious food & superb single malts - we hope you can join us!
Tickets for this very special tasting are limited & priced at £35 per person, fully redeemable against any purchase of Old Pulteney on the evening.
Tuesday, 16th April 2019, 6.30 - 8.30pm
Hosted by Kat Presley
Opened at the turn of the 20th century, Benromach, like many Scottish distilleries, has had a colourful history. The site was closed down after less than 12 months of production in 1900 & was moth-balled for more than a decade before being re-opened just before the first world war. The distillery finally closed its doors in the early 1980s & the stills again fell silent for nearly two decades until renowned independent bottlers Gordon & MacPhail purchased the operation & decided to restore Benromach to its former glory.
Unusually for a Speysider, Benromach is produced using a portion of peat-smoked malt, harking back to the pre-modern distilling practices of ages past. This subtle smokiness combined with the full bodied character of the distillate make Benromach one of the most distinctive Speyside drams & a must-try for fans of Scottish single malts.
Benromach's-own Kat Presley will host this superb single malt showcase & present five different drams from the distillery's portfolio. Guests will enjoy Benromach 10 year old, 15 year old, "Organic", "Sherried Peat Smoke" & Château Cissac barrel finish.
Tickets to this fantastic tasting are £25, redeemable against any purchase of Benromach whiskies on the event.
