Cambridge Distillery Masterclass
Tuesday, 18th September 2018, 6.30 - 8.30pm
Hosted by Will Lowe
Cambridge Distillery is one of a new breed of craft distillers who are focusing on quality of ingredients & experimentation above everything else. The distillery was founded around five years ago in the countryside outside Grantchester by Will & Lucy Lowe & use many locally-sourced herbs & spices in their botanical blend. Unusually, Will has chosen to distill each botanical separately before assembling a final blend, a technique that allows much greater control over the flavour profile of the finished spirit.
We are happy to have Will on-site to host this tasting - Will will guide guests through a tasting of three of his gins explaining the difference in production between each. Gins to be tasting include Cambridge Dry Gin, Cambridge Seasonal Gin (Autumn / Winter 2017) & Cambridge Truffle Gin.
Tickets for this event are £25, fully redeemable against any purchase of Cambridge gin on the evening of the tasting.

Pursued by Bear
NB, this tasting was mis-advertised in a recent newsletter. We are happy to confirm that correct date is Wednesday 10th October. We apologise for any inconvenience caused by this mistake.
Wednesday, 10th October 2018, 6.30 - 8.30pm
Hosted by Kyle MacLachlan
Pursued by Bear have been producing highly regarded Cabernet Sauvignon & Syrah-based wines in Washington State since 2005. Production rarely exceeds four hundred cases across the three cuvees currently made by PBB & quality is always the foremost concern. Pursued By Bear Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve is a Bordeaux blend which varies in composition year to year, but always sees a significant period of ageing in new French oak before release. The wine is dense, richly structured & ageworthy with the Wine Spectator & the Wine Advocate awarding the 2013 93 & 92 points respectively.
PBB also produce a Syrah under the label Baby Bear which utilises fruit from two highly regarded Columbia Valley vineyards - Lewis Estate & Phinny Hill. The wine is once more aged in new oak & only released around three years from the vintage. These are fruit-forward, "modern" wines which combine serious complexity with serious drinkability.
Tickets for this event are £50, with £25 redeemable against any purchase of Pursued by Bear wines on the evening of the tasting.

Fast forward 25 years & the winery has won numerous awards & accolades & is now recognised as making some of the finest Pinot Noir & Chardonnay in the USA. We are pleased to welcome Domaine Serene's-own Francois Mateo to the store to host this tasting & present a selection of the estate's wines.
