This 1978 Amarone Classico is a red wine crafted in the `appassimento` style, hailing from the renowned estate of the late Giuseppe Quintarelli, affectionately known as Bepe. Bepe was a revered figure in the Italian wine scene until his passing in 2012, and particularly celebrated for his hedonistic and enduring Valpolicellas, Reciotos, and Amarones. These Amarones undergo a minimum of seven years of ageing in Slavonian oak barrels and stand as some of Italy`s most coveted wines. The estate is currently led by Bepe`s daughter, Fiorenza, and her husband Giampaolo.
