Coppo has a long history that dates back to 1892 when it was founded by Piero Coppo. It is a family-owned winery, and the Coppo family has been involved in winemaking for generations. During the 1980s, Coppo took a leading role in promoting Barbera wines, adopting practices such as reducing yields and aging the wine in small oak barrels to produce a rich and aromatic wine. Their creation, named Pomorosso, became a benchmark for showcasing the outstanding quality that Barbera can achieve in the Piedmont region.
